Corrigendum

Widow text is when a word is left hanging at the end of a paragraph.

E.g:
Lalala blah blah blah
blah.

An orphan is when such a word is left hanging in the beginning of a new column of text (this pertains to printed matter where the text is divided in to columns on a page)

So when I kept said, “It’s not a widow; it’s an orphan (YOU SEXIST BASTARD)”, I hadn’t done my homework. They aren’t inter-changeable.
